I was born in Durham, North Carolina.
After attending several years of art classes at the Durham Arts Council, I began pursuing a career in animation at Savannah College of Art and Design in 2004. I graduated in 2008 with a BFA with a concentration in Animation. From there, I went to intern on Robot Chicken, as well as to do commercial and graphic work for various studios. I was Graphic Arts Director for a wonderful local company for two years before deciding a return to the wonderful world of collegiate debt. I am nearing completion of an MFA in Art & Design.

My strengths are in graphic design, animation and illustration (with creative problem solving to bring them all together when it needs to happen!) I have no intention of being the norm, I have no intention of breaking the norm, I have every intention of sharing myself with you and bringing my clients the work they come to except with hiring someone to captivate their vision.

I draw inspiration from the smallest things, from a broken butterfly wing to the light from a streetlight shining through tree limbs in a city park at night. My work is heavily influenced by art nouveau and the theme of contrast between industrial and natural environments. I have long looked up to animators such as Winsor McCay and Ray Harryhausen, pulling 2D and stopmotion combinations into my animations. I love fantastical worlds, bright imagery, and occasionally morbid satire. In my book, if it makes you feel something, it is art. Commercial or not. If it's successful, you'll either love it or hate it. I hope you come to either love or hate my creations.
